Khan sir’s real name is Faisl Khan. He was born in 1993 in a middle-class family in the Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. His mother is a housewife, and his father worked as a contractor. Additionally, his elder sibling is an Indian Army officer. His grandfather’s name is Iqbal Ahmed Khan. Although Khan sir is not married, he is reportedly engaged, according to media reports.

Regarding educational history, Khan sir completed his elementary studies at the Parmar Mission School in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. After passing his 8th-grade exams, he developed an interest in enlisting in the Indian Army. He attempted to achieve his dreams by taking the Sainik School entrance exam, but he was unsuccessful. Later, he studied for the Polytechnic exam, but he didn’t do well. He finished his 10th-grade studies at an English medium school and his 12th-grade studies at a Hindi medium school. Also, he worked hard to prepare for the AIEEE exam after his 12th-grade exams, but he slept through the exam day and was unable to take it. He then completed his graduation in science and then pursued a Master of Science at the University of Allahabad, UP. Additionally, he has a master’s in geography.
Khan Sir Career
Khan Sir began his teaching career by teaching a group of six students in an institute. His teaching abilities and quality quickly rose to great popularity. He increased the class size from 40 to 50 students before going on to teach classes with more than 150 students. Khan acknowledged in an interview that his popularity had grown to the point where the coaching owner was quite concerned that if he left the coaching facility, the students would do the same. He started his own YouTube channel in 2019 and now posts educational videos on a variety of topics, with a focus on current events. He debuted his educational app, “Khan Sir Official,” on the Google Play Store in 2020.
Khan Sir Controversies
- In April 2021, a controversy erupted against him because of his YouTube video. In this video, he talked about how radicalization was increasing among people and gave his views on the Tehreek-e-Labbaik party of Pakistan. He had given his views about that party, and a controversy arose when others accused him of commenting on Islam.
- Another controversy had arisen over the name of Khan Sir and in this, it was claimed that he is a Hindu. After which Khan sir had to go before the media and explain that some people in the bank call him Amit. A video of him saying this went viral on the internet.
- Students protested the cancellation of the Railway Recruitment Boards Non-Technical Popular Categories (RRB-NTPC) examination in 2022. In Bihar, numerous students set fire to trains and other railway equipment owned by India. An FIR was filed against Khan Sir after police recorded protestors’ statements alleging that he and others incite students to protest.
- In December 2022, he sparked yet another controversy when he demonstrated in one of his educational videos how to change the meaning of a sentence by substituting Hindu names for Muslim ones, such as Abdul in place of Suresh. Many leaders called for his arrest after it gained popularity.
